"Safari 5.1 introduced the absolutely horrendous infamous 'white flash' behaviour when switching to Safari and between tabs. 5.1.1 seemed to reduce this somewhat. The release notes for 5.1.2 actually claim to address this phenomenon explicitly. Unfortunately, it's still happening ... Add my name to this growing list. Not only white flashes, but spinning pizza/beachballs for several seconds on nearly every switch from one tab to the next. And scrolling either doesn't work or is very jerky until the page finishes 'refreshing' when a different tab is chosen. Seems that switching from tab-to-tab forces a page refresh every time. Are we all just beta testers for Safari? I'm about to switch to another browser. Very frustrating." MacInTouch 10:48 AM

"After reading the comments on duplicates, I thought I'd try to eliminate mine. I went to the Card menu, chose the same option, and it worked for a while. The 325 duplicates were now only 5, when I checked it again. The next time I did it, there were no duplicates remaining. I'm not sure why it only seems to work for some people, but it does take time to finish, even *after* it says it is done." MacInTouch 10:47 AM
