Apple’s Bozoma Saint John stole the show at WWDC

Apple music executive Bozoma Saint John was the rock star at the company’s developers conference last week.

Saint John — who came to the iPhone maker in the Beats deal — had the geek-squad crowd up on their feet, which harkens back to the Steve Jobs glory days.

Saint John, who goes by Boz, got the audience to rap along to The Sugarhill Gang’s “Rapper’s Delight.”

A Ghana native, Boz started her career as a VP of marketing for apparel retailer Ashley Stewart. She then led the Music and Entertainment Marketing Group at Pepsi-Cola North America, before moving to Beats.

On social media, Boz’ performance at the WWDC was immediate.

Comments included: “The coolest person to ever go onstage at an Apple event,” “Apple needs to have Bozoma Saint John on stage as much as possible” and “Signing up for Apple Music because of @SaintBoz.”
