Users asking for more customization features in Windows 10

One of the things that Microsoft improved in Windows 10 was the level of customization, as the company wanted to give everyone the power to personalize the operating system no matter if they were using a traditional PC or a touch-capable device.

As a result, Windows 10 comes with a new visual theme, a revamped Start menu, new visual effects and animations, as well as with options to customize all of them in a way that makes the OS not only look better for you but also work more effectively on your device.

And yet, it's not a secret that pleasing everyone is impossible, so users still expect more customization features to be added to Windows 10.

And one of the most interesting suggestions on UserVoice is a blur effect for the login screen wallpaper.

Significantly improved appearance

With nearly 600 votes, this request calls for Microsoft not necessarily to let them change the wallpaper of the login screen, but to add a blur effect that would greatly improve its appearance.

“As of build 10162, the login screen has the default wallpaper applied to it, regardless of the user's desktop wallpaper. It would look better if the user's wallpaper was blurred behind the login screen,” the user request reads.

The mockup that's included in this article is the best interpretation of this new idea, but there's obviously no evidence that Microsoft is planning to add such a feature in Windows 10 anytime soon. The best way to deal with this request is to add an option that would at least allow users to enable this feature, so Microsoft wouldn't have to make it default.

The next big update for Windows 10 is projected to be released in October this year, so maybe some new features and customization options can be included in this big release.
