The launch of Windows 10 will take place in just a few weeks, and Microsoft is hard at work to give the last touches to the operating system and make sure that everyone knows when, how, and what Windows 10 version they need.

A PDF document released by Microsoft today has exactly this purpose, trying to assist users in “finding out which Windows 10 edition is right for them.”

Basically, it's a feature comparison chart between Windows 10 Home, Pro, Enterprise, and Education, as each SKU is aimed at a different user category.

There's no doubt that Home and Pro will be the best-selling versions of Windows 10, especially because they're available for consumers, and most users on Windows 7 and 8.1 will upgrade to one of these two.

Enterprise features

Just as its name suggests, Windows 10 Enterprise will come with features aimed at enterprises, such as Direct Access, Windows To Go Creator, AppLocker, BranchCache, and Start Screen Control with Group Policy.

Windows 10 Pro also comes with some business features, such as Domain Join, Bitlocker, Enterprise Mode Intenret Explorer, Assigned Access 8.1, and Remote Desktop.

Windows 10 Home is specifically aimed at consumers and comes with features that are available in all the other Windows 10 SKUs, including a customizable Start menu, Windows Defender, Battery Saver, Windows Update (with automatic updates turned on and Microsoft installing new updates when they are ready), Cortana, Windows Hello with native fingerprint recognition, facial, and iris scanner, virtual desktops, snap assist, and Microsoft Edge.

Windows 10 Home will be priced at $119.99 in the United States, while Windows 10 Pro will cost $199.99. Pricing in the other countries across the world remains the same as for Windows 8, Microsoft says, while Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 running genuine Windows will be allowed to upgrade free of charge.
