Pixelmator

This week in my Bangkok Post column, I outlined a couple of apps that synchronise between iOS and Macs. One of these was the excellent Pixelmator. Up to now the iOS version was only available for iPads, but the developers have just released an update that also allows this to be installed on the iPhone.

For those, like me, who already have the iPad version, the iPhone app is part of the free update, while for those new to this, the price is $4.99. Not only is it possible now to create and edit images in a fairly sophisticated app on the iPhone, but the files created can be synchronised to the Mac and the iPad (and vice versa).

As soon as this was opened for the first time, I was offered the chance to use iCloud. Images already saved were instantly available. The tools available for editing are placed slightly differently on the screen, but this has the same ease of use.
