Apple Pay in stores and within apps is available for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus users, and iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 supports Apple Pay within apps. Apple Pay is also available for use in stores with the Apple Watch. As always, you can find our running list of merchants and apps that accept Apple Pay here including recently added Best Buy.

As for Simple customers, the online bank shared this message to its customers:

Simple is currently beta testing Apple Pay with a small number of customers. If you’ve already added your Simple Card to Apple Pay, thanks for helping us test drive this feature! If not, hang tight—we’re working hard to release it to all our customers soon.

The Bancorp Bank adds Simple cards which many people have been wanting for Apple Pay.

Finally Simple has it!!!!! I just added my card, very happy!

How come The Bancorp Bank is on the list, yet my PayPal debit card is still not supported? The PayPal debit card is issued by The Bancorp Bank.

    • Nicholas Linindoll - 9 years ago

I’m in the same boat. I’d love to add the PayPal debit card to my Apple Pay Passbook, but it’s still not working. :-(

    Still no UK update?

  5. bpmajesty - 9 years ago

Too little too late for me. I left Simple and switched to PNC for this very reason months back. Haven’t thought about it since. No way I’m switching back now. Its not that SIMPLE (pun intended).

  6. I guess T.D. Bank (NA) is for U.S. only?
Still can’t add any of my T.D. cards to Apple Pay, but I’m Canadian and we unfortunately don’t have Apple Pay even though payment thru NFC is accepted almost everywhere here :/

    • Thomas Yoon - 9 years ago

Canada won’t have it at any bank until around November. On the bright side, we’re the first ones outside of the States to accept it, and it’ll be readily available to use at that point. None of that “some stores have it” stuff, just tap it anywhere with an NFC terminal.

      • That November date was a rumour incidentally so don’t be counting on it.

      • I really never understood why the rolled Apple Pay out in the U.S. first for that reason.. NFC is still fairly new there where as here we’ve had it for years.
I’m glad to hear there’s at least a rumoured date for Canada.. I was told by an Apple support agent to keep an eye out on http://www.apple.com/ca/hotnews/ as anything related to Apple Pay coming to Canada will end up being posted there.

Discover Card finally to be added this fail (months away!) the tepid sound of one hand clapping. An Apple Pay Discover Card Zen Koan.

  8. Jonathan Smyth - 9 years ago

So what? I already have 4 cards in Apple Pay, and still almost no place to use it!

  9. Mark El-Wakil - 9 years ago

By the way, it’s “Northrup Grumman Federal Credit Union”, not “Northruo Grumman Federal Credit Union”
I’ve seen this in the past several posts you guys have for this.

    • Alan Aurmont - 9 years ago

Obviously “Northruo” is a typo since the two letters are right next to each other on the keyboard.

  10. yojimbo007 - 9 years ago

    Great.. Nice long list!
But what we really need is More,,, WAY MORE, merchants!

  11. Anthny Fernandez - 9 years ago

Still no idea why MB Bank is not using Apple Pay

  12. Roger Stockburger - 9 years ago

Bring ApplePay to Australia, geez ya Gawd-damn-yankees always seem to get the good stuff first makes me feel envious sometimes, things happen ever so slow in Australia… ….. ;/

    • Alan Aurmont - 9 years ago

Err… be grateful for getting a chance to be the first ones to lay hands on Apple’s new products.

    • They don’t even have NFC in all their stores.. That’s what makes me so salty about the U.S. getting Apple Pay before everyone else. It would make sense to test it in a market where almost every store has NFC terminals.

Anyone been successful in adding a “PAYONEER” card ?
