It's that time again: Apple reports its financial results for the second quarter of its fiscal 2015 today at 5pm Eastern. As usual, you can join us live for coverage of the call, a breakdown of what the results mean for Apple's various product lines, and plenty of charts mapping out the data.
Remember, this quarter runs from the beginning of January to the end of March, so this will be Apple's last quarter without the Apple Watch. Going forward, watch sales will be lumped into the "other products" category with the iPod, Beats headphones, Apple TVs, AirPorts, and other peripherals, so we won't necessarily get specific details on Apple Watch Sales. Cook and company may mention something about Apple Watch sales on the call today, but we wouldn't be surprised if he declined to mention an exact number.
As for the rest of Apple's products, don't expect many surprises. We got three new MacBooks—the two Airs and the 13-inch Pro—in early March, but the rest of the lineup is mid-cycle. We'd expect iPhones to be up a bit on the strength of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, for Macs to stay strong (as they have for the last year), and for iPads to be weak (again, as they have for the last year). We'll report on the actual results (and any other tidbits Apple drops) in a few hours.
