Buckle your seatbelts, Need for Speed fans.

The much-loved racing series is getting a new addition, Need for Speed No Limits, publisher Electronic Arts has announced. Specifically designed for smartphones and tablets, the next entry to the Need for Speed franchise is slated to arrive on iOS and Android in 2015. No specific release date has been announced yet.

The new title is being developed by Firemonkeys, the same studio behind the Real Racing games on iOS and Android, including Real Racing 3. At this point, details about the new Need for Speed title are scant, but Firemonkeys Executive Producer Robert Huebner said to stay tuned in the weeks and months ahead for more details about the game's cars, characters, and customization options.

"We've built No Limits from the ground up to deliver the insanely-fast driving and incredible graphics that fans have come to expect from Need for Speed — all in the palm of your hand," Huebner wrote in a blog post. "We're constantly amazed by the power and performance we're able to get out of the latest phones and tablets and think you will be too."

In the meantime, EA has released a teaser trailer for No Limits featuring pro rally driver Ken Block, which should get you hyped up for the new title. Check it out below.
