Apple to open second retail store in Turkey on Oct. 25

October 21, 2014

Apple has announced that it’s set to open its second retail store in Turkey on Saturday, Oct. 25.

As reported earlier this month, the new store is located at the Akasya Shopping Center in the former Turkish capital of Istanbul.

Its grand opening comes just over half a year after Apple opened its first retail store in Turkey, located at Istanbul’s Zorlu Shopping Center (pictured below), and just about a month after the launch of the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus in the country.

Apple’s new store in Turkey is scheduled to open at 10 a.m. local time, with its first visitors expected to receive commemorative T-shirts.

Earlier this month, Apple opened its new stores in the Nave de Vero shopping center in Marghera, near Venice, Italy; along Princes Street in Edinburgh, Scotland; in the University Town Center mall in Sarasota, Florida; and in the Mall of New Hampshire in Manchester, New Hampshire.

As noted by MacRumors, Apple revealed during its Q4 2014 financial results conference call that it would open 25 new stores in 2015, most of which would be located outside the U.S.
