For a hint of how Oracle Corp. will work under new chief executive officers Safra Catz and Mark Hurd, look at how the duo approached the company’s OpenWorld conference last year.

Hurd, then a co-president, appeared onstage on the first full day of the weeklong event in San Francisco to deliver an almost two-hour speech to an audience of thousands, espousing how customers could use Oracle’s technology. Catz, then also co-president, took the opposite tack. She hosted an intimate invitation-only event for some of Oracle’s largest customers and spoke at a keynote for partners.
