All of them, save for two, are part of the Core i3, Core i5 or Core i7 series

Even though most of the central processing units in Intel's Haswell refresh series are made for desktop PCs, there is a healthy number of them aimed at mobile devices as well, primarily notebooks.

There are seventeen mobile Haswell CPUs in total, spread across the Celeron, Pentium, Core i3, Core i5 and Core i7 ranges.

As opposed to the desktop line, where only four chips are in the Core i7 line, the i7 mobile chips are actually the most numerous.

There are six of them, as you can see in the table included below. Curiously, the slowest is also one of the most expensive, but that becomes less shocking when you realize that the TDP is of just 15W.

The Core i7 4510U is the processor we're talking about. The U suffix means ultra-low power, and we have to say that 15W is little compared to the 37W of M-series and 47W of the QM and HQ lines.

Speaking of which, there are chips belonging to all of those types in the new collection, with the Core i7-4760HQ being the priciest, at $434 / €434. It is a quad-core with 2.1 GHz clock, 8 threads and 6 MB L3 cache.

The Core i5 line of mobile Haswell refresh CPUs is composed only of M-series (37W, as we said), U-Series (15W) and Y-Series (11.5 W TDP) chips. They bear prices of $225 / €225 to $315 / €315.

Moving on, the Core i3 line is made of five chips, again with U, M and Y suffixes. They have price tags of $225 / €225 to $281 / €281 and clocks of 1.6 GHz to 2.6 GHz. All of them are dual-core processors with Hyper-Threading and 3 MB L3 cache, just like the Core i5 models actually.

That leaves the Celeron and Pentium chips, and there is only one of each available. Not surprising, since low-end laptops don't sell much these days, because of tablets.

Anyway, the Pentium 3560M is a dual-core unit with a clock of 2.4 GHz, 2 MB L3 cache and no Hyper-Threading. It has a TDP of 37W (it's an M-series chip after all). The price is of $134 / €134.

Finally, the Celeron 2970M is also a dual-core unit, with 2.2 GHz clock and 2 MB L3 cache, priced at $75 / €75. Again, the TDP is 37W.

Like before, the chips are only selling to retailers and OEMs, and we aren't likely to find any, not until May. Probably not afterwards either, since these are mobile chips, so they'll (mostly) only be used in notebooks, so you'll have to look among those instead.
