Microsoft has just released an update for the Windows 8 Reader app, thus delivering a number of bug fixes and performance improvements to adopters of its new OS.

According to the official release notes published in the Store, the new version of the Reader app comes with improvements for the handwriting tool, as well as with increased stability and performance regardless of whether you’re using it on a Windows 8 or an RT device.

In addition, the print option has been added to app commands, so now it’s easier to print the PDF files you’re opening in the Modern UI.

Of course, Reader continues to be available with a freeware license on all Windows 8 versions, so make sure you get the new version as soon as possible.
