Has Apple finally gotten back into the innovation game with the refresh of its iconic mobile operating system?

For some time, Apple (AAPL 0.76%) has been criticized for falling behind in the quest for innovation and leadership in the technology space. It's in this spirit that various design elements of iOS 7 have been called ugly and uninspired, but there are some reasons to be hopeful. While the refresh may only lay the groundwork for new innovation, it stands as a beacon of where Apple is trying to go, and that's good news for investors.
