Team-Focused HipChat Messaging Apps For Mac And iOS Updated To Version 2.0

The team-focused group chat and IM service HipChat has just been enhanced with the simultaneous release of both HipChat for Mac 2.0 and HipChat for iOS 2.0.
Fresh out of beta, HipChat for Mac 2.0 boasts improved performance, vertical stacking of open chats in a new left sidebar, full-screen chat, Notification Center support, and Retina display optimization.
As for HipChat for iOS, which was released in the App Store back in March 2011, it offers a significantly revamped interface.
This new interface lends itself well for quick switching between open chatrooms through a new left sidebar just like that in the Mac app.

The newly updated iOS app also has a new right sidebar in chatrooms that lets you easily view members, browse shared files and links, and search chat history.
To access the app's new left and right sidebars, just swipe left or right.
HipChat for iOS 2.0 also adds in-app notifications for new chats and mentions as well as faster photo sharing with one-tap access to the last photo taken on your iDevice.
HipChat for iOS 2.0, which is designed for both iPhone and iPad, is available now in the App Store for free, while HipChat for Mac 2.0 is available to download through this link.
