Gael Monfils pulls out iPhone after third set, films French Open crowd doing the wave

Apparently the trend of the 2013 French Open revolves around a device most of us have had on our hip for years. Two days after Sergiy Stakhovsky pulled out his iPhone mid-match to take a picture of a disputed spot (and later tweeted out the image), Gael Monfils, always the showman, went to his iPhone to film a little video.

During his second round match against Ernests Gulbis, Monfils had some time to waste after the third set tiebreaker as Gulbis went away for a bathroom break. What did Monfils do to pass the time? He filmed the crowd doing the wave.

Monfils, a Frenchman who has been battling injury over the last year, now looks back in tennis shape, taking out Gilbis 6-7 (5), 6-4, 7-6 (4), 6-2, but it was this bit with the cell phone that makes everyone appreciate that Monfils is back to form and playing his way into the third round at the French Open.
