Maxim notes that on March 28, Vringo (VRNG) announced in a court filing that it has begun settlement talks with Microsoft (MSFT). The firm continues to estimate that the potential net proceeds from a settlement with Microsoft could be around $71M, or 73c per share. Maxim also sees a possibility of Microsoft acquiring Vringo and aggressively pursuing the company’s patent infringement lawsuit against Google (GOOG). Maxim keeps a Buy rating on Vringo with a $10 price target.
