Readability For iOS Gains Tag Filtering, Native Sharing And VoiceOver Support
March 26, 2013
Readability, which has been my read-later app of choice since its launch on iOS a year ago, has received another significant update.
The latest update to Readability finally brings support for tags. Introduced to the Readability platform back in November last year, tags are now available on Readability for iOS.
At the moment, though, support for tags brings little beyond the ability to filter the items in your Reading List by tag. On the app's sidebar, there's a new Tags segment, which you can tap to reveal all of your tags. Tapping any of the tags shows all of the corresponding Reading List items.
The ability to add tags right within the app, rather than through the Readability website, would've been a nice addition as well. I'm hoping it's already being planned for inclusion in a future update.
The new Readbility update also brings accessibility and VoiceOver support, syncing improvements, and native iOS 6 Twitter and Facebook sharing.
Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad, Readability is available in the App Store for free.
Released in March last year, Readability was hailed by us here at AppAdvice as one of our Top 10 Best Free iPhone Apps Of 2012.
