Twitter this week added support for 12 more languages to its archive tool, the micro-blogging service announced.

Those who download their Twitter archive will now see all the tweets they have ever posted in Danish, Filipino, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Swedish, Thai, Turkish, and Urdu. To download your Twitter archive, go to the Settings page, then scroll to the bottom and click "Request your archive." From there, you'll receive an email once the archival process is complete.

Twitter first started rolling out its archive feature in December. It let users download a record of every single tweet they ever posted since joining the service, including tweets and re-tweets.

"Maybe you wanted to recall your reaction to the 2008 election, reminisce on what you said to your partner on your 10th anniversary, or just see your first few Tweets," the company wrote in a blog post at the time. "We know lots of you would like to explore your Twitter past."

The archive lets you view tweets by month, and search for certain words, phrases, hashtags, or @usernames. You can even engage with your old tweets just like you would with current ones.

Meanwhile, Thursday marked the seventh anniversary of the day Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey sent out the world's very first tweet. In seven short years, Twitter has grown to become a global phenomenon, now boasting 200 million active users who send out more than 400 million tweets a day. To celebrate the occasion, the team at Twitter put together a video (below) highlighting some of the site's biggest moments over the past seven years.
