Aquafadas Shows Off Its Digital Publishing Skills at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair

Aquafadas to showcase apps and eBooks from children’s book publishers Egmont, Bayard Group, and ePals Corporation developed with the Aquafadas digital publishing platform at the fair’s 50th anniversary show

Montpellier, France — March 21, 2013 — Aquafadas, innovative developer of digital publishing solutions and creative software for HTML5 creation, will have its Digital Publishing System on display at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair, which is held from March 25-28 at the Bologna Fair Centre. Now celebrating its 50th anniversary, the Fair boasts over 215,000 square feet of exhibiting space, where companies like Aquafadas will meet and discuss the copyright market in the children’s books industry. Aquafadas will showcase its digital publishing solutions along with apps and eBooks developed by clients including the Bayard Group, Egmont, and ePals at Pad. 26 Stand B/90. Interested attendees should stop by the booth to learn how these publishers are leveraging Aquafadas technology to successfully launch and monetize their respective digital publishing strategies. In addition, the Aquafadas technical team will demonstrate first-hand the system’s ease of use and adaptability to many publishers’ needs, whether they are publishing content on a tablet, a smartphone or on the web.

Bayard Group, the fourth largest company in France to publish magazines and books for children, publishes an extensive catalogue that boasts 143 periodicals as well as over 4,800 titles. Using Aquafadas Digital Publishing platform, Bayard develops iPhone and iPad apps for children ages three to 12 years old, including its main children’s magazine, J'aime Lire. All titles are enriched with animations, read-aloud features, and explanations for words.

Egmont, one of Scandinavia's leading media groups, publishes books, magazines, comics and more in over 30 countries. Its apps, like Barbie Read and Play, are extremely rich in interactive features, like fun learning games, read-a-longs, coloring and more. Egmont Books is comprised of Norway’s largest book publisher, Cappelen Damm, and Denmark's second-largest publishing house, Lindhardt og Ringhof.

ePals Corporation is an educational media company and the leading Global Learning Network. Cricket, the subsidiary that publishes content for young readers, includes 14 different children’s magazines. Collectively, their magazines have won every award in North America, including the Association of Educational Publishers Golden Lamp Award and the Parent's Guide to Children's Media Award. They publish eight different apps for children with the help of the Aquafadas Digital Publishing System, including Babybug, which features touch interactions and read-to-me options.
