If you've ever watched the movie Face/Off and desperately wanted to try the same thing—minus the implausible surgery and John Travolta—now's your chance. Yahoo Japan has released Face Stealer, an endlessly amusing iPhone app that uses augmented reality to replace your face with someone else's. And despite being free, it works surprisingly well.
The app comes with a small collection of pre-loaded faces for you to immediately swap in—from Obama to Einstein—but with a little futzing you can also snap anyone's photo and replace your face with theirs. The app works with any iOS device with a front-facing camera, and even lets you share your horrible Hannibal Lecter-like creations on Facebook or Twitter. [DigInfo TV]
