iOS 6.1.2 Update Is Jailbreakable

This article is more than 10 years old.

Apple has released iOS 6.1.2 update, and as with any new iOS release, a new update sends shivers down the spines of anyone who has jailbroken their iDevice.

The reason for this is simple. Not only will a new update kill the jailbreak, but it could also block the jailbreak.

However, there's good news for those who have used the Evasi0n jailbreak--the new update can be jailbroken using the same vulnerability. This was confirmed earlier today by one of the developers behind the jailbreak tool.

The developer also confirmed that the Evasi0n tool will be updated to fully support the new iOS update.

The updated Evasi0n jailbreak tool will be available from the official download site. [UPDATE: Version 1.4 of Evasi0n now available.]
