A Brilliant iOS 7 Concept And Video

January 28, 2013
We’ve heard very little about Apple’s next major version of iOS. In fact, before iOS 7 arrives, the public is expected to see iOS 6.1, which is currently in beta. Regardless, France’s iPhoneSoft is out with a iOS 7 concept that looks promising, as much as it looks refreshing. As you can see, the concept includes a new so-called Widgets Zone at the top of the home screen. Included here are favorite apps, toggles, my messages, iPod controls, and more. The Apps Zone, by contrast, no longer includes a dock. Additionally, the zone, at least on the iPhone, reverts back to the traditional 4-by-4 app icon layout. The iPhone 5 was the first Apple handset that included five rows of apps. Take a look:

Personally, I love this concept because it doesn't completely reinvent the wheel. Instead, it makes use of new technology without replacing what has made iOS so popular in the first place. Apple is expected to unveil iOS 7 at this year's Worldwide Developers Conference in June. The upgrade will be the first created without Scott Forstall, who CEO Tim Cook fired in October. Instead, Craig Federighi and Jony Ive have been tasked with leading the team that is creating iOS 7. Source: iPhoneSoft
