Sonic Jump, Sega’s latest iOS game, has received a great new update that’s now available to download from the App Store. In addition to 12 brand new levels, this release brings new characters and new enemies.

Sonic Jump came to iOS last month, and it’s been pretty popular since, despite being an entirely different Sonic game. Rather than the usual fast-paced platformer, this title sees Sonic vertically leaping through each level. It’s not too dissimilar to the hugely popular Doodle Jump.

If you’ve been playing it for the past few weeks, you’ll be pleased to know it’s now got some great new content. The latest update brings 12 new levels, the ability to play as Sonic’s friend, Amy Rose, and new enemies. It also adds the Global Challenge game mode, which allows you to team up with other Sonic Jump players in an effort to reach the moon.

The update is free, of course, if you already own Sonic Jump, while those that are yet to pick up the game can grab it now for $1.99. it’s a universal release compatible with both iPhone and iPad.
