Samsung Takes More Swipes at Apple in Latest Ad

Samsung may have lost a big patent suit to Apple, but the company is winning in the snark wars with its latest television advertisement.

The video, which was posted online Wednesday, takes several potshots at Apple and its faithful customers.

Set on a Chicago street, a number of young Apple customers, mostly wearing the company’s signature white headphones, are camped in front of an Apple store, waiting to buy the company’s latest iPhone. As the customers chat about the new features, people continue to walk by with the Samsung Galaxy S III, where they boast about the phone’s larger screen and faster speeds. At one point, two Samsung Galaxy owners tap their phones together to share a musical playlist as the Apple customers stare in amazement.

The video is just another in an onslaught of negative advertisements by Samsung that have been pointed at Apple. As Brian Chen and Tanzina Vega of The New York Times reported, over the weekend, Samsung placed advertisements in print publications, titled “It doesn’t take a genius,” that showed a side-by-side list of features on the iPhone 5 compared with a longer list from the Galaxy S III.
