PALO ALTO, CA--(Marketwire -08/27/12)- Snapfish by HP (HPQ) today introduced SocialPics, a web application that curates the best moments from a person's Facebook Timeline and displays them in a personalized book.

SocialPics automatically identifies the most popular Facebook photos, comments and status updates and creates a 20-page, 8-inch x 8-inch custom photo book.

SocialPics makes it quick and easy to create a Facebook Timeline photo book. The application connects with Facebook and filters meaningful content from the user's profile based on comments, "Likes" and other interactions, and automatically arranges the content in chronological order.

Customers can customize the content by choosing a specific timeframe for their book, adding a fun title and selecting from two cover styles -- soft cover ($19.99) or hard cover ($28.99).(1) The soft-cover book is great for casual Facebook postings about vacations and memories from school. The hard cover lends a more formal and polished look, making it a great choice for users who want to display important experiences, such as an engagement, wedding or birth.

Designed to complement the size and resolution of photos uploaded to Facebook, SocialPics Books are ideally suited to display rich social content. The app also includes rich customization features, including the ability to delete content blocks, such as photos, comments and status updates.

Celebrities get social with SocialPics
To kick off the launch of SocialPics, Chris Hardwick, celebrity comedian, podcaster and founder of Nerdist Industries, is sharing his social life with fans with his own SocialPics Book.
