Clown got Jobs’ iPad

PALO ALTO, Calif. — Imagine the treasures in the stolen iPad of Steve Jobs: secret corporate files, personal correspondence and maybe even game prototypes.

But entertainer Kenny the Clown says he unwittingly received the iPad — after the late Apple co-founder’s Palo Alto home was burglarized last month — and never examined its contents.

Instead, he says, he downloaded the “Pink Panther” theme song and Michael Jackson tunes to play for kids and tourists.

Kenny, real name Kenneth Kahn, says he had no idea the 64GB iPad came from the Jobs home until a friend who gave it to him was charged with burglary.

“It looked normal. I was basically using it like an iPod,” said Kahn, 47, who had the iPad for three or four days before cops asked for it.

“If this thing weren’t so tragic, it would be comical,” he said.

Kariem McFarlin, 35, of Alameda, was arrested on Aug. 2. McFarlin gave Kahn and his own daughter iPads stolen from the home on July 17, investigators said.
