To say that To-Do apps are a plentiful commodity in the App Store would be a huge understatement. There are hundreds of different apps dedicated to helping you get things done - from the insanely powerful OmniFocus to the beautiful and cloud-based Wunderlist. But out of all the to-do apps that I try, I always seem to end up coming back to Things. And now, with its massive 2.0 update, I have even more reason to continue using it and recommending it to app lovers.

In a nutshell, Things is a beautiful, massively powerful app that will most definitely help people get things done. Thanks to its extremely intuitive interface, massive feature set and innovative approach to task management, its easy to see how Things has achieved a place on the homescreen of so many iOS users.

One thing that always bothered me about to-do apps was their interface. Too often they would be cluttered, dense and just plain disorganized looking (ironically enough!) Things kicks this stereotype to the curb thanks to its  user-friendly UI that power users and casual users alike are sure to be impressed by. Users will be very impressed by futuristic features such as Cloud Sync (very convenient if the user has the Mac version), intuitive tagging and the ability to group tasks into projects.

Once the user opens the App Store page to try and download the app they may be quite taken aback by the price. Things weighs in at a hefty $19.99. Some users (myself included) will find this price justifiable, but other users may find it a bit of stretch to spend that much on an app with so many cheaper competitors.

In Things, your tasks are split into four categories: "Today", "Next", "Scheduled" and

"Someday". Procrastinators will definitely appreciate the "Someday" option (I know I do!) Users can also choose to create a project to group tasks together. Users who are students or work in a field where a lot of projects are sure to appreciate this ingenious way of grouping together tasks that all share the same goal.

To conclude, my love for Things was only reaffirmed with the 2.0 update. Users are sure to appreciate the Cloud Sync features, its amazing interface and its powerful task management tools. Although some may be deterred by its fairly expensive price tag, once you see past it and realise you are paying for an extremely well designed app you might be able to justify the decision with yourself.
