Google this week provided an update on when buyers should expect to receive their Nexus 7 tablets.

Though the search giant didn't reveal a hard launch date for the Nexus 7 - the standard line was "mid-July" - Google has been shipping the devices to those who pre-ordered them.

In a note on its support page, Google said that it has shipped all standalone orders for the 8GB Nexus 7 - meaning orders that don't include a case, charger, or . The company expects that all standalone orders for the 16GB Nexus 7 that were placed by July 11 should ship by July 19, upgraded with overnight shipping.

The remaining orders for the standalone Nexus 7 16GB version will go out by the end of next week, also with overnight shipping, Google said.

"If you ordered your tablet with a case, charger or Nexus Q, your Nexus 7 will ship this week with overnight shipping, in some cases ahead of the rest of your order," Google said. "But don't worry, the rest of your order will be on its way soon."

The Nexus 7 is also shipping to customers in Canada, the U.K., and Australia. In Canada, Google has shipped all Nexus 7 8GB orders and will ship the 16GB version in 1-2 weeks.
