AsdeqDocs adds mobility to enterprise document repositories Featured

By

AsdeqLabs' AsdeqDocs makes material stored in enterprise document repositories accessible on iPads.

Australian software developer AsdeqLabs has released the first version of its AsdeqDocs application for accessing documents from enterprise repositories.

This version of the software works with iPads (support for a wide range of devices is planned, starting with Android) and most enterprise document repositories including Microsoft SharePoint and Exchange, Oracle WebCenter, HP TRIM, Nuxeo, OpenText, Alfresco, Confluence, Documentum, IBM FileNet, and ISIS Papyrus.

Directors David Bartlett and Mike Nermut got the idea for the product while Mr Bartlett was Premier of Tasmania and needed easy access to the most recent versions of cabinet papers while he was on the road.

"We knew there was a need for an enterprise BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) solution but we didn’t realise just how strong it was," said Mr Bartlett. "Every single company we've spoken to is struggling to solve the problems associated with the phenomenal uptake in tablets devices. We've had an amazing response to AsdeqDocs so far and it looks like we have a very bright future ahead."

Mr Nermut said "Over the coming months we'll be rolling out the first release to a number of large government, private and educational institutions Australia wide."

The company plans to expand from its Melbourne and Hobart offices into San Francisco later this year.
