Now that the high-resolution retina display has hit the MacBook Pro, it's almost certain we'll see a retina display on a MacBook Air sometime in the future. But what will these displays look like? GDGT thinks it knows.

It would be simple enough to assume that like the MacBook Pro, the retina displays on 11-inch and 13-inch MacBook Airs will be twice the resolution of the current models. GDGT crunched the numbers, and realized that because the MacBook Air already has a relatively high pixel density, they'll likely follow a different path.
