A remastered version of the classic first-person shooter Doom 3 hits stores on Oct. 16, publisher Bethesda Softworks has revealed.

Doom 3 BFG Edition will feature an enhanced version of the game, plus the expansion Resurrection of Evil.

It will sell for $29.99 on PC and $39.99 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Along with the expansion, the package will include a bonus story called "The Lost Mission" consisting of seven levels, as well original copies of Doom and Doom 2.

The remastered Doom 3 will have support for 3-D, PlayStation Trophies and Xbox 360 Achievements. The campaign will also introduce checkpoints, allowing players to complete the game more easily.
