iOS 6 will probably be the biggest news maker at WWDC. The only thing we know for certain is that it's coming. It's likely iPhone and iPad developers will get a beta version of the software this so they can start writing apps in time for the launch.

Assuming Apple follows the same schedule it did last year with iOS 5, iOS 6 will be ready for the public to download this fall.

One of the key new features of iOS 6 will be a redesigned maps app. The app will no longer rely on Google for mapping information. Instead, everything will be handled with proprietary software from Apple.

Apple recently acquired a company called C3 Technologies, which makes super cool 3D maps. We're expecting those maps to be part of the maps app.

Mountain Lion is an incremental update to the current version of OS X, called Lion. Mountain Lion will let you mirror your computer screen to your Apple TV, get notifications just like on iOS, and sync apps like Notes and Reminders to iCloud.
