An interesting nugget of information was recently revealed by Liquidmetal Technologies CEO, Tom Steipp.
Steipp announced that his company's technology is already being used in a commercial capacity, "on a number of accounts, most recently by Apple computer."
9to5Mac discovered the video below, which is possibly aimed at investors.
However, Steipp doesn't specifically say what products Apple is using Liquidmetal in.
While we don't believe that the next iPhone/iPad will be made completely out of Liquidmetal, it seems the technology is definitely something that Apple is using in some capacity.
We recently spoke with Atakan Peker, one of Liquidmetal's inventors. He told us he only knew that Apple was using the alloy in its SIM card ejector pins that used to ship with iPhones. Peker also said if Apple decided to make a product entirely (or mostly) out of Liquidmetal, it'd be a "breakthrough."
