Use a Baking Rack to Cool Nearly Any Piece of Overheating Tech

Overheating tech is bad news, and we all have one or two things in our house that doesn't get enough airflow—whether its an Xbox, a DVD player, or a constantly failing router. If you don't want to buy a cooling rack just to stick it in your entertainment center, weblog Apartment Therapy notes that a cookie cooling rack will do the trick just fine.

This is a pretty obvious one: a cooling rack is good for cooling more than just cookies. But, if you haven't actually put this tip into practice, it's a good reminder to take a look around your living room and see which of your gadgets might be a little too hot. Take a special look at things that don't have rubber feet on the bottom, or that are stacked on top of one another. If it feels hot and it's been having problems, stick a cooling rack under it to give it a bit more airflow. It can fix all sorts of problems, including a router that you need to reset every few days.
