In a blog post, Cisco announced that it "will no longer invest" in a tablet you've probably never even heard of: the Cisco Cius. Introduced in 2010, the Cius was an enterprise tablet with a focus on video conferencing and compatibility with Cisco's own enterprise apps like Quad, Jabber, and WebEx. Predictably, it didn't catch on in the consumer space and apparently it didn't do much in enterprise either. Instead, Cisco will be focusing on making those apps work on other tablets in the new Bring-Your-Own-Device world that corporations have entered. If you are absolutely heartbroken at the thought of the Cius being discontinued entirely, well, Cisco will still sell your company one "limited fashion to customers with specific needs or use cases."
