Are you sick of going through the trouble to transfer photos from your phone to your computer? Mobile app Bump could now make the process a little easier.

Bump technologies, whose iOS and Android apps enable users to share data by simply tapping their phones together, released an update on Thursday that will let users "magically" move photos from their phone to computer. The new feature makes transferring photos as quick and easy as bumping your phone up against your computer's space bar.

What's better, it doesn't require you to download any software on your computer, as it works through the Web browser. The Bump team built the new feature in response to user requests.

"One of their biggest complaints is that it is hard to get photos off their phone and onto their computer," Bump CEO Dave Lieb, wrote in a blog post Thursday. "Syncing is complicated and often requires a cable you just can't find, and people are fed up with emailing their own photos to themselves. Users would often jokingly tell us, 'Bump is great; if only my computer could Bump too!' So we built it."

The new feature works like this: You fire up the latest version of the app (version 3.3) on your phone and load up the Bump website on your computer. Then, select photos in the Bump app you want to transfer, and gently tap your phone against the spacebar and confirm. The photos will instantly appear on your computer. From there, you can save the photos on your hard drive, or get a short link to share with friends on Facebook, Twitter, email, or IM.

The new version of Bump is available for download in the App Store and Google Play.

A slashed a number of features, paring down its functionality to sharing contact information and photos.
