IBM to buy Tealeaf Technology for undisclosed sum
ARMONK, N.Y. (AP) -- IBM Corp. said Wednesday that it has agreed to buy Tealeaf Technology Inc., a provider of consumer analytics software, for an undisclosed sum.
IBM expects to close the deal in the current quarter and said it will help it provide marketers, e-commerce and consumer service professionals with information about consumers' shopping experiences online and on mobile devices.
IBM said Tealeaf, based in San Francisco, has more than 450 customers worldwide, ranging from Dell to Expedia to Amazon-owned Zappos.com. Its software record and analyzes customers' mobile and website interactions
IBM's shares added 18 cents to $208.18 in afternoon trading.
