Apple’s gotten approval from the Cupertino Planning Commission to build an enormous, two-story 21,468-square foot cafeteria down the street from its campus. The goal is to provide employees a space to talk over lunch without having to worry about being overheard by competitors. Next up: Dormitories, so competitors won’t be able to inception Apple engineers while they sleep.

From the you-can’t-make-it-up department, former advertising guru and frequent Steve Jobs collaborator Ken Segall says that the late Apple CEO “wanted to put a golden certificate representing the millionth iMac inside the box of one iMac.” The lucky winner would be refunded the cost of their computer and get flown to Cupertino for an Apple campus tour conducted by Jobs in full Willy Wonka garb. After which, Jobs would hand over the reins of the company and fly off in his magical iElevator.
