Professional recruiter Robert Walters has launched its new job search app for iPhone, developed by Chelsea Apps Factory, saying it is “the first of a suite of apps” for jobseekers.

The free app allows jobseekers to search the recruiter’s entire database and apply from their mobile device, as well as create a CV from their LinkedIn profiles.

It also contains a Robert Walters office finder and is currently available in the UK only, but will be rolled out to 22 territories worldwide and be translated into 12 languages in the coming months.

Phil Jenkins, head of digital at Robert Walters, says: “Anyone who’s ever spent time hunting for their dream position knows that it can be very difficult to stay on top of all the information about the job market that exists out there on the web, and even more difficult to cut through it and find what they need.

“There’s never been a more important time to make the right career move and this is the first of a suite of apps we’re releasing to make sure jobseekers have the toolkit they need to make the right move for them.”

Mike Anderson, chief executive of Chelsea Apps Factory, adds: “Apps are fantastic tools for ordering dauntingly large databases of information like those collected and refined by recruiters like Robert Walters.

“By taking the user on a carefully designed journey, you can help them home in quickly and easily on the data that’s relevant to them, no matter how much there is to sift through.”
