TiVo Settles Patent Suits With Microsoft; Grants No Rights

TiVo disclosed in an SEC filing Wednesday that the company has reached a settlement of all pending patent litigation with Microsoft.

The two companies had filed against each other both in federal court and before the U.S. International Trade Commission. (Microsoft had filed an ITC case and a pair of federal suits against TiVo, which in turn had filed a case in federal court against Microsoft.)

TiVo said that "no patent rights were granted to Microsoft" in connection with the settlement. No other specific terms were disclosed.
