CBS March Madness Live app

CBS again is providing live coverage and game data via its iOS app. This year, however, all the live video and highlights are not free. Users will have to put up $3.99 to get full coverage, which includes live streaming of all 67 tournament games, live streaming of team practices, and highlights of all games. Once paid, the fee unlocks features on all user-owned devices. The app itself is still free, but the premium features require an in-app purchase.

This year, the app adds live radio of all 67 games, in addition to the video streaming. This is a free feature that might be handy for those looking to just listen in and/or may not have bandwidth available for video. Also new is a social chatter function for teams during every game.

Other features include:

- Fill out your official NCAA Bracket Challenge bracket right from your iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad
- Track the entire bracket live throughout the tournament
- Follow live scores and player stats - including team leaders and a live lead tracker (iPad only)
- Get alerts for upsets, overtimes, crunch time (close games), and your favorite teams
