Microsoft Corp. Chief Operating Officer Kevin Turner said its upcoming Windows 8 operating system may be its most important platform to date.

“Windows 8 will change the face of computing and devices, whether it will be for consumers or enterprises going forward,” he told an audience at the CeBit technology fair in Hanover, Germany today. “And we’re going to look back at this particular operating system as one of the most, if not the most, important that we’ve ever had the privilege of developing.”
