"Starry Night" is arguably one of the most recognizable paintings in the world, and is now the subject of a more modern art project. Created by artist Petros Vrellis, the newly interactive "Starry Night" uses a multi-touch touchscreen which allows you to touch the painting and watch it react in real time. The project itself uses 80,000 'particles' which flow around the 1920 x 1080 resolution environment at 30 frames per second. The results, which also have a musical soundtrack, are quite stunning.
