While it was nice to see Nokia showing some signs of life with its Q4 results, and perhaps the management change at Research In Motion will spur some real change up north, the truth is that the battle for supremacy in the smart phone market is largely between Apple and Google's Android. And for the moment at least, it would appear that in the U.S. Apple is gaining considerable strength, as demonstrated in their December quarter results.
That is all prelude to this nifty chart I nicked from Morgan Keegan analyst Tavis McCourt, which show iPhone sales versus non-iPhone smartphones at AT&T and Verizon.
