You probably don;t need yet another iPad dock, but if you have gone computer-less and still need to scan the occasional sheet of dead treeware, then the iConvert Scanner Dock might be just the thing for you.
It's a front-feed, 300dpi document digitizer with a slot up top for your iPad 1 or 2. The gap adjusts from 2-inches to 8.5 inches wide, and scanned pages are spat into your iPad as JPG files.
As you'd expect, the scanner has its own companion app (called iConvert Scanner) which does almost nothing but provide a "scan" button and save the results to the iPad's photo roll.
Given that the iConvert costs $150, I'd probably go with another option. Doxie makes a range of scanners, one of which (the $200 Doxie Go) will scan to your iPad, runs off its own battery and comes with much better software. Or you could just use your digital camera and clean up the results with something like Prizmo, a photo-straightening OCR app for the iPhone.
On the other hand, if you really need a scanner and a dock, then head over to Brookstone, where they'll sell you this ugly lump of plastic.
