CES 2012: Caesars Palace launches iPad app

Just in time for the techie throngs from the Consumer Electronics Show, Las Vegas Strip hotel Caesars Palace introduced a new app which it says is a first for the town.

The app lets guests in a newly opened tower request hotel amenities from anywhere on the property, not just a guestroom. A sampling: From the app, you can tell the valet service to get your car while leaving the Celine Dion showroom — no more waiting on line outside. You can order room service from the pool — and then run upstairs to get it. You could request extra towels for the room — from the elevator.

The app is available for Apple, BlackBerry and Android devices, and was launched this week, to coincide with the arrival of CES attendees, says the hotel's Tommy Harris. "We feel it's something that will not only get attention from the Consumer Electronics Show group, but be a great benefit for our guests."
