Lenovo Announces ThinkPad T430u Ultrabook for Business Users

Lenovo intends on showing off its ThinkPad T430u at CES 2012, its business-class entry into the ultrabook space.

Lenovo first made its debut in the ultrabook space with the , a beautifully crafted laptop intended for the consumer market, even with a list price of $1,495.

At this year's CES the company intends on showing off its ThinkPad T430u, Lenovo's business-class entry into the ultrabook space.

Following the customary trend for all Lenovo ThinkPads, the T430u features the same soft-touch black matte design, but with an aluminum construction. It has a 14-inch display, 0.8-inch thin profile, and weighs less than 4 pounds. The keyboard is full-size and in the chiclet style, but Lenovo's laptop keyboards are renowned for their comfortably sculpted keys.

Consumers will be able to choose from Intel's latest line of Ivy Bridge Core i-processors, whether their needs require a discrete graphics chip (provided by Nvidia) or can do with just the integrated graphics. Users will have the choice of a solid-state storage drive (SSD), which is great for road warriors as SSDs are less prone to cracking like their spinning counterparts, or up to 1TB of hard drive space. The ThinkPad 430u also boasts up to six hours of battery life.

The Lenovo ThinkPad T430u will be available in Q3 2012, however, the laptop's release is dependent on Intel's launch of its Ivy Bridge processors. The base price of for one of these ultrabooks starts at a much more digestible $849.
