At first glance, one might find Star Trip for iPhone about as simple as an iPhone game could ever be. It's true, this game is a simple one, but most of that simplicity stems from its super accessible control scheme. All it takes is a simple touch of the screen to control this game, and all it takes is a few minutes of tapping to enjoy it. In this game, players take control of a rocket ship and send it through the cosmos in search of stars. To direct that rocket, all the player needs to do is touch somewhere on the screen and the ship will speed along in a straight line until it reaches the point.

In this way, players move the rocket around to collect as many stars as they can. This is made much more difficult by the asteroids that begin flying across the screen at random intervals and which will end the game if they hit the rocket. The longer the player lasts to collect stars, the more asteroids appear on the screen and the harder it becomes to collect more stars while avoiding the asteroids.

There are three different game modes which are all simple variations on the same gameplay. There is the normal mode that works as described above, the speedy mode in which players have to move the rocket at least once every three seconds, and the don't miss mode in which players have to collect all the stars that appear on the screen without missing any.

No doubt Star Trip for iPhone is one of the most simple games there is to be found in the iOS app store, but that is not to say that it is a bad game. Its simplicity is definitely one of the game's strengths. It's very easy to play, it has different modes to keep things fresh, and the objective is straightforward and allows the players to get right to the action. It may lack the intriguing gameplay that would entice players to play for hours on end, but it will provide some great star catching moments.
