iGrill redesigns probe Bluetooth thermometer app

iDevices this week pushed out version 2.0 of its iGrill app for iOS devices. IGM previously reviewed the iGrill wireless probe thermeter for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. The app works with the custom iGrill wireless Bluetooth probe thermometer.

The new version features a complete redesign with some new features. A new graphing screen allows users to review cooking history, and the graphs can be exported and emailed. Other than the new design, probably the biggest feature is the addition of smoker options. The app now allows for upper and lower alarms. So, for example, you could use the probe to alert if your smoker is getting too cool or monitor the cooking temperature. It would seem that if the optional second probe is used, you could do both, which is a common feature for smoker thermometers.
