Minimalist Drifting Game ‘Absolute Drift: Zen Edition’ Heading to iOS Next Week

Back in the summer of 2015, developer Funselektor released their minimalist drifting game Absolute Drift on desktop platforms. About a year later they released an expanded edition called Absolute Drift: Zen Edition on the PlayStation 4. Then about a year after THAT, they released Absolute Drift: Zen Edition onto the Xbox One platform. We are a mobile gaming website so you probably see where this is going. About two years following that Xbox release, Absolute Drift: Zen Edition is now heading to iOS on July 12th courtesy of the Canadian porting masters at Noodlecake Games. Check out this new launch trailer for the iOS version of Absolute Drift.

You may recall that we were shown an early in-progress version of Absolute Drift running on an iPad back during GDC in March, and at that time because of its unfinished state there was still a lot of work to do on the iOS port. Mainly optimizing the game so the frame rate was smooth and touching up the virtual controls, though the iOS version will also support MFi controllers. If you missed out on that demo from GDC be sure to check it out, as Absolute Drift: Zen Edition looks to have heaps of content to slide your vehicle through. It’ll also be a premium game though no pricing has been announced yet. Be sure to check this one out when it arrives next week on July 12th.
